1. All products offered for sale must be made & sold by the registered stall holder. Packaging only is not sufficient involvement. Stallholders who value-add to a product must provide significant creative input to the product and not just apply token additions. You cannot bring another persons items unless pre approved to do so.
2. Only products listed and approved by the management on the current application may be sold. If you wish to add new items to your stall, a request in writing, with photos, must be approved by the management.
3. Unloading of cars is between 9-10am Saturday morning. All cars must be off site by 10.15am Parking is available free of charge across the road. No movement of cars will be permitted after this time within the market. Pack up time is 4pm on Saturday. NO cars are allowed on site before 4.15pm. Stalls do not have to stop trading at 4pm. If there are lots of customers stalls can keep trading. No early pack up will be permitted.
4. Craft items and produce with faults must be clearly labeled as Seconds.
5. Please note that NO refunds given within 5 weeks before each event, there are no transfers or rollover of credit for the next market date. Written notification of non-attendance of allocated market is required. Please contact us ASAP for some reason you cannot attend. Please do not apply for the market is you cannot afford to pay your invoice.
6. All stallholders must present their stalls in a professional, stylish and clean manner. Tables are to be completely covered by tablecloths (or similar) and any boxes/packaging/suitcases etc must be hidden from view and not impose on neighbouring stallholders displays.
7. Stalls cannot be transferred, sublet, franchised or sold to any other person, nor can they be shared without written approval from management.
8. Copying the ideas and work of other stallholders may be in breach of creative copyright and is not in the spirit of the market. Any grievances must be in writing.
9. Raffle tickets may not be sold unless pre approved by HMM. Only approved flyers may only be displayed on stalls. Please ask though as cross promotion can be a beautiful thing!
10. Stallholders are responsible for leaving their site and surrounding area clean & tidy. Boxes & cartons must be removed from market area do NOT use Market bins. We have significant numbers at the market and the bins are only just big enough for this rubbish. If you are found to be leaving other rubbish you will not be offered another spot at handmade.
11. Stallholders must confine their displays and signs to the stall site and keep pathways clear for patrons.
12. Stallholders using gas or electrical appliances must have a suitable fire extinguisher or fire blanket on site. Electrical leads must be tagged by qualified tester every 3 months.
13. It is the responsibility of the stall holder to trade in accordance with Market, State and Local Shire regulations. Food stallholders must be registered with the markets local council. This is your responsibility not HMM that you are registered.
14. It is the responsibility of the stall holder to ensure they conform to any Australian standards pertaining to their product. HMM will not be held accountable for any trademark or copyright or safety infringement.
15. Loud product promotion by stallholders is not permitted.
16. The stallholder must have read and understand the mandatory safety standards applicable to their products and labelling. http://www.accc.gov.au
17. Stalls must not pack up until the advertised closing time.
· Handmade Market (HMM) accepts no responsibility for adverse weather and no refunds will be given for this reason.
· HMM accepts no responsibility for damages to persons or goods.
· HMM has the right to withdraw the right to trade of any stall holder in dispute with HMM or any persons. Right to trade will be only reinstated if the dispute is resolved to Management satisfaction. HMM does not accept any responsibility for costs incurred by any stallholder in dispute with HMM (this includes advertising, accommodation and equipment hire) if their offer to trade at HMM has been withdrawn.
· HMM has the right to reject any stall holder who they believe does not comply with the stated regulations.
· Dogs: In the interest of health & safety NO DOGS (applies to stallholders and patrons) are permitted to enter the market area.
